KMS Hayloft Pellets

KMS hayloft pelletsWhile doing these reviews I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the brands I’ve come across that seem to have all the essentials (with an exception of the three questionable foods that are soybeans, wheat and calcium carbonate which is the number one leading cause of bladder stones.) So far I haven’t seen any nuts, seeds or any of the things on our Watch Out For list!

The first thing you notice about the KMS hayloft pellets, is that there are two types. Timothy based and Alfalfa based. This is good because mature guinea pigs over 6 months need a different diet then pups under 6 months and pregnant or nursing sows. Before we review, lets take a look at the ingredients…

  • Timothy grass hay,
  • Oats
  • Wheat
  • Barley
  • Soybean hulls
  • Soy meal
  • Choline Chloride
  • Ascorbic Acid
  • Vitamin A supplement
  • Vitamin E supplement
  • Manganese Oxide
  • Meniodine Bisulfate

Overall I am really happy with this list and I see that a lot of owners on the forums are exceedingly happy with this as well!

kms-hayloft-pelletsEverything here looks fantastic! There are no additives,  colors or sugars and the vitamin c content is fantastic! This brand is highly recommended above most others and would be a fantastic addition to your piggies diet! Remember always to introduce new foods slowly!

I am impressed with their website that claims that all the ingredients have been thoroughly talked over with vets, guinea pig experts and nutritionists which means that has been deemed safe by many experts in the field!

Having said that. These are pellets that you can trust for your guinea pigs! I recommend 1/8 of a cup each.

I give this five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow, I had no idea that there was so much to consider when it comes to pellets! But now that I think about it, it shouldn’t really shock me. I have a kitten and there is a lot to consider when getting the food he needs. Got to make sure he gets all his vitamins, has healthy fur and the like.

This is such a helpful website! You are a huge inspiration to all animal lovers out there.

    Keep up the great work!
