Can Guinea Pigs eat Blackberries

can-guinea-pigs-eat-blackberriesMmm mm I admit I haven’t tasted blackberries for a while but the thought of them is already making my mouth water! It is a lot of fun to go blackberrying around the neighborhood to see what you can find! So can guinea pigs eat blackberries?

Yes they can!

Like most fruits, blackberries are high in sugar, but they also have excellent vitamin C levels with small amount of fat and calcium so I would highly recommend this as a given fruit in their diet. It must only be given only two to three times a week in small amounts though.

I had never thought of feeding my Guinea Pigs blackberries. But why not? I love them and they seem healthy enough. I am sure my kids (yeah, I call them my kids) will love them too. Any tips for other fruits I can add to their diets? Thanks for sharing as always and keep up the great work.
