Can guinea pigs eat artichoke?

Yes, this can be eaten one to two times a week in small amounts!

However, artichoke comes in several varieties, two of which should be avoided. NOT JERUSALEM OR CHINESE ARTICHOKE

Globe artichokes a low amount of vitamin c and a high amount of acid and phosphorus. When feeding you your guinea pigs, remove the stem and outer leaves and cut the sharp part off the lighter green and white leaves before serving.  Remember to give your guinea pigs a tiny amount of anything new so that they don’t get upset stomachs from too much of a new thing.

    Another food I will have no worries about. They seem to only be able to eat the foods I don’t like in small amounts so that works out well for me. haha I do wonder though, if given the change to eat these items, would they eat them to the point of becoming sick or would they choose something else?

      If your guinea pig likes something, he’ll certainly eat it till it’s finished or until he is full! Its like if someone gave you several chocolates when you were little, you’d eat them to the point of becoming sick!
